Kei Nishikori has been forced to withdraw from the 2014 Sony Open Tennis due to a left groin injury and will be unable to play in today’s semifinal match versus Novak Djokovic.
Nishikori, seeded 20th at the event, was looking to reach his first Sony Open final. With the withdrawal Djokovic advances to the Sony Open final for the fifth time. Djokovic has won three Sony Open titles in 2007, 2011 and 2012.
The following policy applies to guests who have purchase individual session tickets for Session 21 (Friday, March 28th) that were purchased directly (and not via ticket auction, exchange, resale or other secondary ticket outlet) through IMG Tickets, sonyopentennis.com or in person at the Crandon Park Tennis Center Box Office. Ticket holders who purchased tickets for Session 21 may exchange their tickets for Sessions 3-21 of the 2015 Sony Open, which will take place March 23-April 5, 2015. Please note that this policy does not apply to weeklong subscription packages in the 100 level (Box), 200 level (Suite) or 300 level (Series) or any tickets issued on a Complimentary or Trade basis. The Sony Open cannot guarantee ticket availability, exchange of equal value or comparable seat location.
All ticket exchanges are final, and there will be NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS. In order to take advantage of this exchange, the original ticket purchaser must complete the 2014 Ticket Exchange Form and mail the original tickets for Session 21 to the Box Office. The Ticket Exchange Form is available here.
All ticket exchange request forms and Session 21 tickets must be received by April 30, 2014 in order to be eligible. Any requests received after that date will not be honored.
