Milestone achievements are being accomplished as we near the end of the quarterfinals round of the Miami Open. Here is a summary of notable achievements from ATP and WTA players.
*** Kyrgios becomes the first Australian to reach the Miami quarterfinals.
*** Angelique Kerber breaks $12 Million prize money barrier.
*** Djokovic hits 91 straight weeks at No.1, the 5th most weeks in the history of ATP rankings.
*** Djokovic on his way to breaking his own record of winning Indian Wells and Miami tournament in the same year four times.
*** David Goffin becomes the first Belgian man to reach the quarterfinals at the tournament.
*** Kyrgios becomes youngest player to reach the quarterfinals since Del Potro advanced to semifinals in 2009.
*** Monfils appears in the quarterfinals for the first time.
*** The Bryan brothers are looking to become the first team to win three straight Miami titles, 2007-09, ‘14-15.
*** Azarenka is bidding to become the third player to win Indian Wells and Miami in the same year.
*** Victoria Azarenka returns to the Top 5, replacing Simona Halep.
*** Bacsinszky is the first Swiss player to make it through the semifinals since 2001.
*** Kuznetsov cracks the top 50 for the first time in career.
