Miami Open Presented by Itaú Sells Out Opening Day Presented by bakerly

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The action of the Miami Open presented by Itaú begins Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium with a sold out Opening Day presented by bakerly.
Fans who have already secured free admission to Opening Day will enjoy the first round of WTA qualifying matches beginning at 11 a.m., a full slate of player practices and the first chance to sample food and drink from the nearly 50 vendors around the grounds. Sunday’s activities will also feature family-friendly entertainment, musical performances and a 3 p.m. fashion show highlighting the exclusive merchandise from the Miami Open Shop and Lacoste available across campus.
On Monday, qualifying continues with the WTA final round and ATP first round. Main draw play will begin Tuesday for the WTA and Wednesday for the ATP. Play Sunday through Tuesday will take place on outside courts, with the Stadium opening for action on Wednesday, March 19, which is also when the event’s first night session will be held.

On Sunday, the WTA singles draw will be revealed at 2:30 p.m., while the ATP singles draw will be revealed on Monday at 2:30 p.m.
A special ceremony will be held prior to the first night session on Wednesday, March 19 to recognize 40 years since the tournament’s start in 1985 with the inaugural Miami Open champions Martina Navratilova and Tim Mayotte along with tournament founder Butch Buchholz.
Other on-court events coming up include the Miami Open Wheelchair Invitational March 26-28 while the Publix Padel Cup will take place March 27-30.
