Bill Pierce is in his 17th year as an Executive Vice President of the Miami Open and 24th year overall with the tournament.
Pierce worked part-time in the box office starting in January 1991 before being hired as a full-time assistant box office manager in September of that year. By 1998, he was promoted to VP of Tournament Services responsible for several departments including tickets, guest services, guest transport, security, on-site signage and court support. Pierce also works closely with the tournament director and the tours during the tournament.
In addition to his Miami Open responsibilities, Pierce co-founded IMG Tickets in 2004, providing a new revenue stream for IMG. As the Vice President of Ticket Operations for IMG Tickets, Pierce has been responsible for creating a business plan, managing budgets, and overseeing long-term and short-term growth strategies.
A native of West Chester, PA, Bill attended and received his sports administration degree at Saint Thomas University in Miami. Bill, his wife Heidi and their two children, currently reside in Pembroke Pines, FL.
