Joins Itaú and MasterCard on Impressive Roster of Global Brand Partners
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (November 10, 2014) – The Miami Open presented by Itaú announced today that Lacoste has signed on as an Official Partner of the event for 2015-2019. Lacoste is the third global brand to join the Miami Open’s roster of partners this year, which includes presenting sponsor Itaú, the Brazilian bank with a presence in 20 countries, and MasterCard, the event’s official credit card.
Lacoste will be the official and exclusive tennis and casual apparel and footwear outfitter of the event, and will dress the linesmen, lineswomen and the ball kids on court. Additionally, Lacoste will create a unique shopping experience at the Miami Open which will include two stand-alone retail shops offering customers both tennis apparel and Lacoste’s lifestyle line. This rich offering positions the Miami Open as the only tennis event outside of the Grand Slams to provide its fans with this type of exclusive shopping experience. The Miami Open and Lacoste will also create a co-branded collection that will be sold onsite at the tournament and in Lacoste boutiques starting in February 2015.
Lacoste’s investment in the Miami Open further enhances the retailer’s stronghold in Florida where it accounts for more than 20% of its business through 15 stores, including five boutiques in South Florida.
